A new rendition of an 'outdated' clothing item, now considered a statement piece: a cape.

Taking inspiration from the night sky, Miro paintings and Mondrian, I started sketching a new, abstract cape. While working on it, I realised that I could transform it into a bag, to use in case of emergencies.

I decided to use crocheted wool as the material because I felt it added to the ‘outdated’ idea of the cape. Taking colors from the night sky and using Mondrian’s rectangles I also added small circles to connect everything together. In between each rectangle you can see the blouse underneath, giving it a less heavy look.
