About Me

ILLUSTRATION STUDENT

Hi, I'm Clara, an illustrator and designer in the making, currently a second-year Illustration student at WdKA. My work is a deep exploration of feelings and the world around us, where I strive to capture the essence of raw emotions and human experiences.

To portray more accurately the raw feelings, I embrace the human touch that is brought to my projects. I try to break the world around me and reshape it, always ’taming’ the imperfections. This way, the choice of materials that I use have an organic feel to them, allowing the imperfections to shine through. Clay and fabrics are the most commonly used materials, as well as wire and paper.

Recurring elements in my work include light sources, natural materials, and organic shapes. I am captivated by how these elements can be used to tell compelling stories. A lamp, for instance, is not just a lamp; it can represent an entire square kilometre with just a few strokes of design. If you look closer, a stool can resemble a designers back after hours of work.

Everything has its own story to tell – and I strive to bring those stories to life.
